Top 20 Inspiring Movies When You Need a Pick-Me-Up

When you are feeling down sometimes it helps to watch an inspiring movie to lift your spirits. And it seems like so much of what's available is either depressing, scary, or just plain trashy. Has this been your experience? So, I sat down to find a movie and after sifting through the hundreds of options on Netflix and Amazon Prime, I came up with a list of 20 movies I found to be inspiring. Most, if not all of these movies, are also family-friendly, which is a bonus (be sure to check for yourself what you are comfortable sharing with your children).

For those that prefer to read the book before watching the movie (because the book usually IS better), I've included links to the movies that have a companion book!

We all enjoy movies that tell a story of overcoming; true stories of getting through obstacles that seem insurmountable. These stories inspire us and remind us that tough times don't last! Most of the movies on the list are true stories of perseverance, faith, and a never-give-up spirit. They give us hope, which is why we watch them!

So, if you're ready, grab your popcorn, your tissues, and your favorite comfy Hygge spot (because coziness is important), to watch an inspiring, feel-good movie. Your spirits are sure to be lifted soon!
